With our democratic congress completely unable to invoke a spine AND the recent declarations of leading Dem contenders that they can't promise leaving Iraq in their first term... well... uhm... uh, I like Ron Paul.
Divine Father, please stop me before I vote for a Republican! OK, maybe that's a little exaggerated -- or overly dramatic -- but everything I've heard from Ron Paul says he wants us out of Iraq, not now, yesterday. I like that.
And the man honors the constitution. We need that!
And now the leading Dems are saying "well, I can't promise I'll get us out of Iraq in only 4 years..." -- uhm, whatever they're taking, be it drugs or cash, I am NOT entirely certain it's legal.
Anyhoo, I have a poll to help determine if any of my brother and sister Kossacks might up and turn Paulacks, uh Paulites... or maybe Paulitical or something like that.
I fear I may vote for the first box, if the Dems won't end the war and Ron Paul will, he's got my vote.
Also I want to mention that my Mom is strongly of the opinion that I should leave campaign contributions to the rich folks. I think she's right for the most part and have been stingy to date. I probably will give something later on. And apologies if your fave fell into the "other" category.
I almost sent Ron Paul $100 but my Mom talked me out of it. That's more than I've sent Edwards, my favorite Dem.... although when I thought about sending him money (and didn't do it) I thought about sending $150. While I suspect that the material manifestation is indeed a creation born of accumulated thought, usually it's significantly more helpful to candidates when you send actual material money rather than the astral stuff.
PS It's also very likeable that the Faux News guys hate him and all the conventional repubs don't like him but can't approach his popularity. This is a sign that big media is losing control.
