Limbaugh makes a despicable comment about real soldiers and the wingnuts and Republicans go AWOL! Has anyone one heard anything from the " pretend to support the troops, condemn MoveOn" contingency? Where is George Bush? He was outraged last week.
Bush: MoveOn.org ad on Petraeus 'disgusting'
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A MoveOn.org political advertisement that criticized the top U.S. commander in Iraq was "disgusting," President Bush said Thursday, accusing Democrats of being afraid to criticize the anti-war group.
Bush told reporters at a White House news conference that MoveOn.org's ad in The New York Times about Gen. David Petraeus was a "sorry deal." The September 10 full-page ad was titled "General Petraeus or General Betray Us?"
"I felt like the ad was an attack, not only on Gen. Petraeus, but on the U.S. military," Bush said. "And I was disappointed that not more leaders in the Democratic Party spoke out strongly against that kind of ad."
Bush said that "most Democrats are afraid of irritating a left-wing group like MoveOn.org" and they "are more afraid of irritating them than they are of irritating the United States military."

Well Mr. Bush, right wing cheerleader Rush Limbaugh just attacked the military. He has branded the troops you're sending to fight your war in Iraq "phony soldiers." Will you speak out strongly against him and call him "disgusting" and a "sorry deal"?
Where is John Cornyn?
Limbaugh is a partisan hack who continues to disparage members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. So why is he still on taxpayer-funded American Forces Radio Network?

In the words of John Kerry:
This disgusting attack from Rush Limbaugh, cheerleader for the Chicken Hawk wing of the far right, is an insult to American troops. In a single moment on his show, Limbaugh managed to question the patriotism of men and women in uniform who have put their lives on the line and many who died for his right to sit safely in his air conditioned studio peddling hate. On August 19th, The New York Times published an op-ed by seven members of the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division critical of George Bush's Iraq policy. Two of those soldiers were killed earlier this month in Baghdad. Does Mr. Limbaugh dare assert that these heroes were 'phony soldiers'? Mr. Limbaugh owes an apology to everyone who has ever worn the uniform of our country, and an apology to the families of every soldier buried in Arlington National Cemetery. He is an embarrassment to his Party, and I expect the Republicans who flock to his microphone will now condemn this indefensible statement.
That includes George Bush!

Update 2:
...Will anyone in the White House press corps ask whether Bush -- who's appeared on Rush's show, as has Veep Cheney -- will repudiate Rush for remarking that soldiers who don't agree with the President's war policies are "phony soldiers"?
