My generation has sucked at taking leadership posts as they have aged. I know it is a strong generalization but as I grew older I was finding that persons holding decision making posts from older generations always seemed to be vastly more experienced and qualified than the person from my generation that seemed to be saying the right things but really had a weak background in the position assumed. I hope I'm wrong about this generalization but it just seems that we've side stepped the good intentions of former ethical standards to always allow the best suck-up to get the job.
