We were looking for zingers... this is probably to verbose to be a zinger, and there is possibly danger in claiming that the president's war on truth has been led more effectively than the war in Iraq (where we have troops), but I think this has potential to be the "Senator, you are no Jack Kennedy" moment of the '04 debates:
The war my opponent has led most effectively is his administration's war on truth. From Secretary Rumsfield claiming to know exactly where we would find WMD, to Secretary Snow's snow jobs on job forecasts, to Cheney's repeated fibs about Al Qaeda chumming up to Saddam Hussein, this administration has, on every major issue, exaggerated, distorted and yes, I'm afraid and, frankly, disappointed to say, lied.
