Oct. 16: At a stellar press conference in Boston this afternoon, 13 Massachusetts legislators, including Mass. House Majority Leader John Rogers and State Sen. Walter F. Timilty, took to the podium to publicly announce their endorsement of Senator Joe Biden for president.

"With Joe Biden, we don't have to worry about a lack of experience," remarked Majority Leader Rogers. "He will be ready on day one...with no on the job training needed. I'm very comfortable that he can win."
Rep. Rogers represents District 12 (Norfolk) and serves on the House Committee on Rules. State Sen. Timilty represents District 7 (Norfolk) and serves on the Ways & Means Committee and the Joint Committees on Revenue and Transportation.
In addition, Sen. Biden received political endorsements from eleven additional former and current Massachusetts legislators:
* Rep. Garrett Bradley, who represents the District 3 (Plymouth) and chairs the Joint Committee on Election Laws.
* Rep. James Vallee, who represents District 10 (Norfolk), the vice chair of the House Committee on Ways and Means.
* Rep. Brian Wallace, who represents District 4 (Suffolk) and serves on the Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure, Joint Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse and the Joint Committee on Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development.
* Rep. Paul Kujawski, who represents District 8 (Worcester) and serves on the House Committee on Personnel and Administration, Ways and Means and the Joint Committee on Election Laws.
* Rep. Joe Driscoll, who represents District 5 (Norfolk) and serves on the Joint Committees for Election Laws, Financial Services and Revenue.
* Vice President of Boston City Council John Tobin serves District 6. He is Vice Chair of the Committee on Education and Rules, and Chairs the Council's Committees on Intergovernmental Relations and Arts, Film, Humanities & Tourism.
* Boston City Council member Bill Linehan serves in District 2. He Chairs the Economic Development & Planning and the Financial Services & Community Investment Committees, and serves on the Aviation & Transportation, City & Neighborhood Services, Government Operations, Intergovernmental Relations, and Labor & Workforce Development Committees.
* Brookline Board of Selectmen, Robert Allen, is currently serving his third term on the Brookline Board and is the second longest serving member.
* Fmr. Rep. Tim Bassett, is the Executive Director of the Essex Regional Retirement System and Chairman of the Essex Regional Retirement Board. He served seven terms in the Mass. State Legislature and Chaired the Election Laws and Commerce and Labor Building Coalitions Committees.
* Fmr. Rep. Jim Collins is now the senior advisor for Castle's business and strategic corporate development efforts, as well as public affairs counsel for Castle clients. He formerly served as Representative for District 2 and later as Legislative Secretary to Governor Ed King.
* Fmr Rep. Tom Vallely is now the Director of the Vietnam Program at Harvard's Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at the Kennedy School of Government.
