A new movie called Martian Child will be coming out in theatres soon -- looks to be a lot of fun. The premise is based on a novellete by noted science-fiction writer David Gerrold. The book is a fictionalized account of the author's own story as a single adoptive parent, and is a heartwarming read.
Here's a YouTube clip of the flick (may get removed -- regardless, you can view the same flick at the link above):
I'm looking forward to the film, and to ordering the book. The book differs slightly from the movie, but I understand that the author is quite happy with the way the movie came out. I'm curious if anyone here has read the book, and whether or not folks think the movie looks interesting. Anyone planning to see it, regardless of whether you've seen the book?
Yep -- very short diary. :) The clip is worth the extra typing; I've overcooked on outrage fatigue, and this was recharging my mental and social batteries.
