I’m watching CNN about the California fires and I’m getting more and more pissed off. I didn’t catch her name but she was a "neutral" news reporter comparing the differences between the quality of life in San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium today and New Orleans Superdome after Katrina.
Neutral my ass! She was ragging on about how the difference was "leadership." California has it New Orleans didn’t. She even said it was so wonderful that in the San Diego stadium you could find all social classes - lower, middle, and even upper. And everyone was so well feed and happy.
What is this shit? New Orleans was under water! You couldn’t drive up to the stadium with truck loads of food, clothing, cots, etc.
And the time elements were so different. Once the levees broke there was virtually no time. These fires have burned for days.
Both are tragedies magnified by abusing our environment but to make these kinds of comparisons is outrageous and political propaganda.
