What would................
I notice on Robert Bluey's conservative Blog, he was touting a film called Bella. From the jist of the article, this film was about abortion, and Robert Bluey yacked on about it being pro family and so on.
His article got me thinking, which is strange for me, because it makes me think about my own beliefs.
Straight off the bat, my political views stem from my religious views, i am a Catholic, a lasped one at that.
When it comes to war, abortion and the death penalty, i cut people a lot of slack, because all three deal with life and death issues, which to me as a person, is in the realm of playing god.
Yes i do believe in God and Jesus, but that in no way make me superior or inferior to protestants, hindus, buddhists and so on. I also understand that some people do not believe in a God, which to me does not make them a bad person.
Overall i understand that each day of our lives is a journey, where we encounter situation that make us think and reflect, and have to wrestle with great and complex issues. Catholicism taught me their are shades of grey, but also if you passionately believe something is right and just, then it is.
I suppose that last sentence sparks off controversy, and its not meant to be. I dont live in the world of Hannity, O'Reilly or Coulter, where the world is black and white, i live in the real world, where every so often i have to really wrestle with my conscience, because i always want to make the right call.
