The audience for the free rally was about 1,500, as a rough guess 300-500 of these cheering attendees were Democratic Party machine members and their hangers on. Rather underwhelming.

MSNBC noted that they managed to fill the Abyssinian Baptist church to 'near capacity' -- for a free rally, this is hardly an impressive show of support.

Interesting. I'm told that the AB Church's capacity is 800, not 1500. Politico must be exaggerating the numbers.
