Letter: Welcome the Translators
To the Editor:
Re "Help Wanted" (editorial, Oct. 31):
Translators, interpreters and others who have helped United States troops and diplomats now want to resettle in the United States. They speak many strategically important languages of the region. The United States does not have an adequate number of interpreters and translators who are proficient in these languages.
Therefore, we need them. Q.E.D.
We need their contribution, and they have demonstrated their loyalty and should not be left to fend for themselves.

This damned, stupid, idiotic, unpatriotic idea (Hell! it's more of an expression of gas from one's posterior!) that gays cannot serve in the military has not served America well. Because of this gross stupidity, we appear to have lost a number of translators in the military who just might have made the situation in the former Iraq better than it is today.
Even so, a number of individuals in both the former Iraq and the still Afghanistan, natives, have been brave enough to to come to the aid of our forces in those areas and serve as translators. As a result, they have put themselves in a very dangerous position.
They want to relocate over in the United States. We, desperately, need them here because we have such god damned incompetent, stupid leaders and a god damned cowardly bunch of Democrats who won't stand up to stupidity and incompetence.
It's time for Democrats to do something that is very, very strategically important both in regards to our sagging military strength and our extremely threatened national security.
These people would serve us well in analyzing intelligence and training others in strategic languages.
Somebody be smart for a change and get those folks over here. We need them.
Do something right for a change, you stupid bastards!
