You know, the day we turn the clock back? The day we enjoy the brief pleasure of sleeping in one more hour, only to later wonder why the darkness falls so soon. Just like the tax cut checks, a transitory gain to be well paid for later...
It all makes sense to me now. Why W extended Daylight Savings Time to the first Sunday in November. Now Repuglican day comes right before Election Day, and it coincides nicely with All Saints Sunday, when we celebrate the deaths, I mean the memory, of all those pesky do-gooders who are no longer here to bother us.
It's just so right. I mean, so far right.
And if you wondered just exactly who was collecting all the daylight we were saving, well, now you know!
