Come and Take it is a collaborative blog that monitors the actions, statements and positions of Texas right wingers at the local, state and national level. Here is what you missed this week.
During this past week, a number of unique stories were posted by the bloggers at
Come and Take It. We currently have 25 bloggers--from such diverse backgrounds as health care workers to professors to bigtime bloggers. Each box is a separate story:
Richard reported that while Texas lawmakers can't seem to come up with the money to fund health insurance for children, they have time to pass the "Bully Reward Act," which puts it on the victim of bullying in the schoolyard to request a transfer to another school--not on the bully to stop or face expulsion.
Might makes right. Right, George?
Finally, Moiv on how
kids having kids is on its way to being mandatory in Texas. But, remember, they also cut eligible children from the children's health insurance roles. Making birth happen is one thing. Working toward a life worth living for all Texans--now that's just harrrrd worrrk.
Want some wood?
Texas right wing power is crumbling because it isn't governing. The more members we have the more of this news from all over Texas we will be able to bring you--and all Texas voters in coming elections.
Many of our most radical wingers ran unopposed last election. That can change with your help.
Keep the eyes of Texas upon them!
