Yesterday, Markos posted a front page story entitled:
Is Rahm racist, or merely scared?
In it, he asserts:
Rahm Emanuel is behind efforts to build Democratic support for the Shuler/Tancredo "enforcement-only" bill currently winding its way through the House.
There is no support in the diary for this assertion.
Markos doesn't even bother to cite to an anonymous source, much less an on the record one. Apparently, we are now supposed to take Markos's Democrat bashing on faith.
Today, a recommended diary piles on, again with no support, not even anonymous sources. In comments, the diarist, trying to defend himself when called on this point, states:
[Rahm] works in shadows. But we have it from several sources, including people with direct knowledge of conversations.
Ok, so now we are at least at the level of anonymous sources. That's progress, I suppose. But it's not good enough for me. To me, allegations that Rahm is "racist" or "scared" require more. And those making that case ought to provide it.
