This is a different poll than the one I posted a
diary on earlier (that one was by
Club For Growth and had a remarkably similar Specter at 47% and Toomey at 37%).
Anyhow, from Survey USA:
6 Weeks To PA GOP Senate Primary: Arlen Specter 47, Pat Toomey 38
- In a Republican primary for U.S. Senate in PA today, incumbent Arlen Specter defeats Pat Toomey, according to SurveyUSA Poll of 399 certain voters conducted 3/13 - 3/15.
- Today, it's Specter 47%, Toomey 38%. Specter leads 2:1 among moderates & pro-choice voters. He leads by 23 pts in the T, by 17 among those who've been to grad school.
- But the contest is closer elsewhere: In Northeast PA, Toomey leads by 4. Among pro-life voters, Toomey trails by 2. Among conservatives, Toomey trails by 4.
- Older voters prefer the incumbent: Specter leads by 18 pts among voters age 65+, leads by 20 pts among voters age 50 to 64.
This is great news out of Pennsylvania!
How about a poll!
