For about two and half weeks, that is!
I'm leaving very soon for Germany to perform my required two weeks of active duty military service in accordance with my commitment with the Air National Guard. I got my hard cover copy of Barack Obama's The Audacity of Hope to keep me company.
The last time I left the country, with my summer vacation to England and France, I was away from a computer and lost my trusted user status. Hopefully, that will not happen this time.
The family will be joining me for a Thanksgiving over there and my poor dog is on the mend after her weekend hospital stay and taking penicillin. She should make a full recovery (fingers still crossed).
More after the flip...
When I return, there will be less than a month to go for the Iowa campaign.
On the Republican side, I expect Flip Mitt Romney to win Iowa and New Hampshire but lose South Carolina and Nevada. I have a suspicion that John McCain will win those two states. I also think that Rudy will take the majority of delegates on the February 5th Super Duper Tuesday and send the GOP into a long and very bloody drawn out fight for the nomination without a clear leader for nomination.
On the Democratic side, I really do believe that Barack Obama is poising himself for a big push a win in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina with a be momentum rush through Super Duper Tuesday and win the nomination early.
I do think that Bill Richardson will drop out and run for New Mexico Senate and John Edwards will follow suit in North Carolina for Dole's vacant seat.
But, that's just my predictions and I may have completely different thoughts when I return to the states.
Well, guys, I have to go and please be nice to each other for the next few weeks.
