Wake up, People!
An excellent article in today's Houston Chronicle shows how the results of a recent sales tax referendum votes were "corrected" to "change some of the votes" in the Cypress-Fairbanks area of Harris County (to which the city of Houston, Texas also belongs).
Here’s a link to the article in its entirety:

If anyone was in doubt that electronic voting is and can be manipulated when votes are cast and tabulated at even the local level, I suggest you read the article and read the description of how it was done by following the link immediately to the right of the article’s second paragraph –
"See the steps taken to correct the ballot error."
More below the fold
What many of us believed to be true is proven in this article, that what was
"graphically demonstrated was that with the proper physical and informational access, one person can alter the results of an election in a county of 1.8 million registered voters."
With 100% of precincts reporting, the stealth-like process was rather simple. Present were the county administrator of elections, Johnnie German, and both Republican and Democratic Party observers inside a locked room on the fourth floor of Harris County’s Administration Building in downtown Houston. The county administrator of elections used a
"series of passwords and an "encryption key" — a series of numbers on a nail file-size computer memory storage device — to reach a computer program that said "Adjustment.""
Here's a link to the parent company that provides the electronic ballot system http://www.hartic.com/ and their contact page http://www.hartic.com/... - just go to the Elections tab on the front page if you want to check out their electronic and paper ballot solutions. Put this on your radar people - it's going to be a bumpy ride.
There’s no trail and the will of the people can be changed at a whim **poof**
