Democratic presidential candidate Wesley Clark picked
up 125 important endorsements
on Monday in Tennessee from city, county, and state officials,
and political activists. The endorsements were announced by
Congressman Lincoln Davis, State Sen. Thelma Harper, D-Nashville,
and Johnny Hayes, Vice Chair of the National Steering Committee
for the Clark Campaign, during a conference call with reporters.
The list of endorsements includes a number of current and former
elected officials
from West, Middle, and East Tennessee.
Clark will receive an endorsement in New Hampshire today which
will be announced later. MSNBC reports today on
rumors that Clark may soon be endorsed by Academy Award winning
actress Gwyneth
Paltrow who is married to Chris Martin the lead singer of
Coldplay.
