I just saw a disturbing piece on my local news. It was about the 350 foreclosures in our county this month, and what that means to our communities. There was a graphic that said something like this:
Foreclosures mean vacant homes, which means no tax on those properties.
Vacant homes means vacant lots, which means lowered property values on all the adjacent properties.
Lowered property values means even less taxes for local and state government.
Less taxes for local and state governments means less money for vital services and infrastructure.
A beautiful scam
Sponsor the media to push the message: Free Markets are Democracy and Democratic Government is Tyranny.
Sponsor politicians to push the legislation: The Era of Big Government is Over.
Use the benefits of sponsorship to have your marks set themselves up for the scam. Empower your mark to do the dirty work for you.
Give your mark free credit. Inflate your mark's sense of value and promise them the future. Ask them to abandon their collective safety net and ability to protect themselves by pitting the individual against community. Split the mark into a couple hundred million pieces to increase your predatory advantage.
Use the benefits of sponsorship to set the mechanics of the scam into law. Use the benefits of sponsorship to take away your mark's escape routes.
Wait for the proper moment and spring the trap.
Bam! It's a done deal. Thank you! Buh-Bye!
I think that the trap's about ready to be sprung.
Lose money gain marketshare.
Think about it.
A rash of foreclosures could cripple local and state governments leading to a power vacuum and nationwide firesale.
No funding of vital infrastructure from the state.
Bankruptcy=lose your home.
Oil at $100 barrel.
We're burning food for crying out loud!
Privatization of everything will be necessary if we hit another major recession, or god forbid depression, which is where I think we're going.
It's just a beautiful plan. And tinfoil be damned, it was a plan. This is the endgame of Failed Conservative Policies.
It's Bathtime
We're in the bathtub folks and we need realize that, but more importantly we need to realize why we're here.
We're here because of Failed Conservative Policies and Corporate Sponsored Public Policy. It's a catastrophic success or Opportunity in Failure take your pick, but don't forget it was a plan, a beautifully diabolical plan.
Anyone who's not addressing this villainy, squarely and forcefully, is part of the problem.
Who's going to stop it?
Who's going to stand up and promote a New Deal type response instead of another dose of Failed Conservative Policies?
