Saturday was a sweltering day in Lake Ridge, VA but candidate Andrew Hurst was there at Antietam Elementary School, along with some loyal supporters from this Prince William county neighborhood to canvas. I was there.
I was very impressed with the candidate. To read more about him, check out his website:

What impresses me most about Andy is his work as a lawyer during the Clinton Administration helping Democrats out. That's what I like, a candidate who knows how to fight! Andrew also worked on John Edwards 2004 campaign.
He is running against incumbent, Tom Davis R-VA, who has some serious credibility issues according to this Washington Post article:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/...
Tom Davis' wife is a lobbyist for a firm called ICG Government. From the Post article: "ICG has a record of satisfied clients, who say the firm has provided them with access to the congressman and his staff."
As one of the campaign managers said, "All of you here today are volunteers, because you believe in the Democratic Party." In September, with all his money, Tom Davis will hire an army of young people to go door to door for him."
