As was Noted in a diary earlier, ABC News's The Note has a good summary of the likely current electoral vote situation. Perusing it, I came across the plausible scenario whereby they tie with 269 each:
Kerry wins everything Gore won + New Hampshire + either Nevada or West Virginia.
(Of course, if the above occurs except Kerry loses NV & WV but wins 1 of the following: Arkansas, Arizona, Missouri, Ohio, or Florida, Kerry wins, by varying margins.)
Can we please revisit what exactly happens if there is a tie? Does it then go to each individual state's congressional delegation, in which case would South Dakota's vote suddenly switch from R to D???
