It is easy to make promises when one is running for president. We see it all the time, so much that we tune it out. I saw it today (via CSPAN not in person) with John Edwards saying he would take up the immigration reform in the 1st 100 days of off. When Hillary was presented with the same question she did something rather weird...
She answered that it would be a top priority. She was met with boos. The question was restated, and she spoke the truth, the executive branch can not create legislation.
I thought Hillary would say anything to get herself in office. I thought wrong. Today she was candid. The President's power cannot create legislation, but she would do as much as possible. Hillary didn't please the crowd today, but she still made a fan out of me.
