MSNBC has an interesting bit of "outrage" on the part of the Clinton campaign.
Seems that the Clinton Camp is a tad upset with Obama due to the actions of his PAC, the "Hopefund".
Today, on CBS, Clinton Communications Director Howard Wolfson called for Obama to shut down his Hopefund PAC, which, according to news accounts, has distributed a large chunk of contributions to politicians from early nominating states. "There's a lot that voters don't know about Barack Obama," he said. "And one thing they don't know -- we found out this week –- is that he has been using and operating a so-called leadership PAC, in apparent contravention of campaign finance laws, taking in money from lobbyists despite the fact he said he doesn't take money from lobbyists, taking in money from lobbyists and giving money out to candidates in New Hampshire and Iowa to support his presidential campaign."
Unfortunately for many reasonable thinking people, the Clinton Camp's whining doesn't erase her history regarding being monetarily "helpful" to supporters:
From the LA Times:
But those who throw stones in political tit-for-tats should be careful. An Obama spokesman sought to turn the issue toward Clinton’s reluctance to reveal financial records and to order the release of millions of pages of documents relating to her years as first lady, which are now locked up in her husband’s presidential library until after the 2008 election.
And there is also the Clinton problem with fundraising bundler Norman Hsu and the coincidence, as detailed last summer by The Times’ Dan Morain, of former Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack giving up his own presidential campaign, endorsing Hillary Clinton and suddenly receiving thousands of dollars from Clinton supporters to help retire his campaign debt
The legend of Clinton's much touted ability to effectively defend herself is losing a bit of its luster. Even her attacks have gotten a tad meager.
