Unlike TV spots, yard and large Highway size signs are worth more early, the longer they're out the more views.
We hear of shortages of yard signs everywhere.
Driving thru Central Wisconsin today, I saw many 5 foot Bush signs, as well as signs for the Republican for Senate and legislative seats. Only 1 homemade sign for a Dem Assembly Candidate.
Calling the Madison Kerry office, I learned that they've been requesting big signs for weeks, have a list of folks willing to put them up, but have not had a delivery.
Meanwhile, Bush owns the highways, both Interstate and rural.
Could this be a function of spending priorities set by consultants who take a percentage on TV buys, but see nothing of money spent on signage? Our airwaves are so saturated everyone tunes out TV spots, except Feingold's.
