I think we need to empower ourselves and the web community about the future of the party.
The Best :
We stand by Howard Dean and make our common committment to support his ability and changes as the head of the DNC.
We put our money where our mouth is and make the DNC into the philosophical opposite of the RNC.
We believe in his vision of a 50 state Democratic Party that fights for all seats, at all levels.
We give Dean a wide berth to cull the herd of non-effective staffers, redundant programs and useless bureaucrats. A leaner, more effective national party is his vision. With that comes some costs, political costs - the important of us standing with his has never been so monumental.
We watch the party struggle with the transition and give it credit for the change. We will be helpful where we are needed, critical where appropriate and watchful always.
We never forget that Dean is there because of us and because of how he made the party feel during those dark months. That, if it wasn't for us and the Dean campaign, any Democrat would have been out of luck in the 2004 election.
The Worst:
Democrats snipe at him constantly and show him disrespect. The DLC will be forefront in their criticism. WE MUST STAND WITH HOWARD, NOT WITH THE ELITE DEMOCRATS WHO DON'T CARE ABOUT US.
Republicans snipe at him constantly and we start to believe their nonsense. THE MOMENT WE BELIEVE THEIR LIES, WE BETRAY WHAT WE ARE.
The media corps don't give him credit and don't cover the amazing work he will do. WE MUST EMPOWER OUR OWN MEDIA NETWORK TO PUBLICIZE THE CHANGES, HIGHLIGHT THE POSITIVE AND BE CRITICAL ABOUT THE MEDIA.
The pundits disrespect his intentions and try to make him out to be a madman. He is painted as a lunatic, a radical, a "liberal". WE MUST HOLD THE PUNDITS RESPONSIBLE FOR SMEAR, LIES AND THEIR OWN BIAS.
What do you think the best and worst of Howard Dean for DNC Chair is?
