Ultra-kudos to a couple bloggers at Agonist (http://agonist.org/ww/20071218/sale_sale_sale) and C&L (http://www.crooksandliars.com/2007/12/18/countdown-the-battle-over-fisa/): Give Chris Dodd's campaign five bucks for stopping Bush's anti-American FISA bill from giving criminal telecom companies (read: AT&T) immunity from prosecution for spying on American citizens en masse and without a court order.

I thoroughly believe in rewarding public officials for good deeds, especially brave ones. Let's all send Senator Dodd a little bump for his campaign. Of all the Dems, he's the only so far who's done something real to fight the Bush Cancer.
The question remains, why don't the other Democratic candidates for president do similar things? Where's Hillary-Joe and Barack O'Lieberman when we needed them? My own big ten-dollar splurge could have gone to one of their campaigns, but I guess they prefer to get money from AIPAC. And what about Edwards? I bet Dodd would have loved some support from Edwards, maybe as a guest speaker...
Nope, no other candidate helped Dodd, other than with quiet approval from Ohio. Only Dodd made the trip and spent time defeating Reid and Bush.
Who are these people?
Oh, and where were Kucinich and Ron Paul on this one? You'd think that a libertarian like Paul would love this kind of fight, but nooooo...
