I am donating my diary ration to navajo to help her publicize the Native American Caucus she will be moderating at Yearly Kos.
A good cause, you will all agree, I am sure...
Below are substantial quotes from her diary and a link... Please go there to read and sign up if you are interested in helping with the ongoing political, social and economic issues Native Americans are facing today.
Thanks,

Well, at the risk of having not one response to this diary I am going to ask...
ARE THERE ANY NATIVE AMERICANS OUT THERE WHO ARE ATTENDING YEARLYKOS?!
I am and I will be hosting the Native American Caucus on Thursday, June 8th at 5:45 p.m. until 7:15 p.m.
I am uncertain of the room location since this caucus was a recent development.
You don't have to be Native American to attend of course.
The Native American Caucus will be a roundtable discussion of political, social and economic issues affecting the indigenous peoples of the United States, including their lack of political representation, economic deprivation, health care issues, and the on-going struggle for preservation of identity and cultural history. Host: Neeta Lind (aka navajo ) Neeta is currently working with the Puente de Hozho school in Flagstaff, Arizona, a school dedicated to teaching the Navajo language to young Navajo and to keeping the language alive. Neeta has designed their website at http://www.puentedehozho.org. Neeta also started SFKossacks, a group of San Francisco Bay Area DailyKos readers who number more than 200 and meet regularly in the Bay Area.
Hoo boy, I just outed myself, YIKES! I actually admire all the folk that use their real names.
I have started a national group Native American Netroots just for this caucus structured like SFKossacks that has a common place to communicate specifically about current Native American issues.
For example, during the 2004 election I read about numerous incidences of voter disenfranchisement on the Navajo reservation and I didn't know how to help since I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I think our group with individuals on and off the reservations can use this caucus to strengthen one another into action.
Please join our group if you are interested in helping with the ongoing political, social and economic issues Native Americans are facing today.
Group name: Native American Netroots
Group home page: http://groups.yahoo.com/...
Group email: NativeAmericanNetroots@yahoogroups.com
Also, please leave screen names [on her diary] of folk that you know are Native American in the comments and I will try to contact them. I know many could easily miss this diary...
