We cannot sit by while the government and the phone companies collude in this massive, illegal and fundamentally un-American invasion of our privacy.
- Anthony D. Romero
In addition to the fact that the ACLU has sued AT&T over phone records, this letter calls for action from the public to get the FCC to investigate.
The Letter points out the fact that the "Communications Act of 1934 protects the disclosure by telephone companies of customer calling information."
The letter refutes the claim by the FCC that "the classified nature of the NSA's activities makes us unable to investigate."
Action from all sides may bring results.
"We are seeking to create the perfect storm to end illegal NSA spying"
