What follows is the analysis of warrior Vader’s wounds and weaknesses and the telling of the story of his last battle and ultimate demise.
Little is known about the origin of Lord Vader's early, significant infirmities. What seems certain is that they result from grave injuries suffered during his career as Jedi Knight and Sith Lord, between the Battles of Geonosis and Yavin. The damage was inflicted in at least two separate incidents, beginning with the loss of 3/4 of his right arm in combat with Count Dooku.
Ultimately, in a battle employing this very type of combat, waged in the galactic cluster known as Niger, just past the Little Dumbell planetary nebula (NGC 650-1, M 76), see also, the Great Lord Vader unraveled the beginning of his own end in what was such a pathetic, almost clerical, battle tactic, that even Sun Tzu would have had the head of an infant, first-year pupil had he proposed such a thing!
