There are people on both sides who blow partisan statements way out of proportion when all we have is just a bunch of armchair chickenhawks sipping juice in the comfort of their homes, foaming at the mouth, and screaming "Oh no you didn't" at their monitors. A million of those virtual declarations of war would not equate to one swing of a fist in a barroom brawl yet their statements are exaggerated beyond belief. Both sides are guilty of this bravado. Let's see...
Freepers:
Justice in America is dead. The liberal courts killed it a long, long time ago.
What a sad, sad day...
Along with ignorant, racist, class-warfare oriented juries. We are at war folks, for the future of this country.
Dailykos:
You want to know what World War III looks like? It looks like Republicans versus everybody else, including most of their fellow Americans...
I know there's a few of these dipshits that lurk around here and read comments and then report back to their little wanna-be blockwatchers. I say, bring that shit. These poons aren't brave enough to acknowledge the facts, they certainly aren't brave enough to do anything other than whine like a bunch of undisciplined brats in the backseat of the family station wagon.
Blah blah blah civil war blah blah uh oh I am going to get up out of that chair and then I can't promise it's not gonna get violent.
The reality of the matter is that overblown rhetoric is just that and nothing more. Conservatives are not out to kill you no matter how much you hate their views. It is because of such overblown expectations that many here place so much blame on the Democrats in congress. Those representatives do not live in your universe of constant threats to your liberties and virtual brownshirts marching in to kick your butt from conservative blogs, but in the rather apathetic universe of middle America and respond accordingly.
That's not to say that there aren't plenty of issues of huge importance hanging in the balance, waiting to be addressed by this congress but the urgency of the situation is overblown by the virtual warfighting going on on these extremely partisan websites where tempers fly virtually unchecked. Freepers reactions, while objectively comical, are often almost mirror images of those of disappointed kossacks.
There will be no civil war between the two ideologies and the emphasis should be on solving problems instead of demonizing the other side. I don't look at you as enemies nor do many other conservatives. Of course we deserve quite a lot of condemnation for our pathetic non-conservative reign of stupidity, but the situation in America is not as dire as you all portray it to be.
