this article should prove once and for all that Clark made the right decision in skipping today's debate.
CANDIA, Jan. 11 -- While the other eight candidates were in Iowa debating on national television Sunday night, former Gen. Wesley Clark had New Hampshire to himself.
Around 200 mostly middle-aged people to a town hall meeting in Candia, well below the 500 or so who would show up for similiar Clark gatherings earlier in the week. This event, though, had been put together in a day or so.
Standing in the center of the gymnasium, encircled by curious voters and a few empty chairs, Clark, dressed in a green sweater, gave his standard stump speech.
Jamal Simmons, spokesman for the Clark campaign said, although the meeting was just arranged Saturday, the camp expected more people to attend.
