Just returned from canvassing in Cleveland, in the rain. Most people are unaware/confused about the issues, but willing to listen. One good thing, EVERYBODY smells the corruption in Ohio. They're just skeptical about complicated-looking proposals to fix it. Not many yard signs for Reform Ohio, certainly fewer than for school board and city council.
Yesterday I got a recorded call from "Ohioans for Election Reform," urging me to visit Ohio Election Reform. It's a conservative outfit supporting ## 2, 4 and 5. It's a little wierd to hear the pro-reform message from a conservative viewpoint, but you gotta love it!
Please. Please. Donate anything that you can spare to Reform Ohio Now right away, and if you can get to Ohio to do volunteer work this weekend or on election day please go the site and sign up!
UPDATE: Public radio station WCPN 90.3 (cybercast at wcpn.org) will broadcast a program at CWRU Center for Policy Studies called "Reform Ohio Now? Political Scientists Look at Propositions 2, 3, 4, and 5" tomorrow at 7:00 p.m.
