So far Commander in Chief is doing a great job in my book. Two weeks in a row, Geena Davis has chill inducing scenes (one addressing Congress last week and going off script perfectly when the bad guy Speaker of the House tricks out her teleprompter, one this week stepping unscripted into a daily press briefing to announce her VP candidate). It is political fantasy to be sure, since she is an accidental president who actually wants to do something good for the country, but hey, it makes you think more about the possibility of a woman POTUS. And, in a thinly veiled salute to Wes Clark, she names as her VP pick retired general Warren Keating (check out those consonants!) who is brilliant, plain spoken, speaks Arabic, and won a war without losing an American life.
Darn, I am hooked. Others?
