The AP has a
story out this morning quoting "people familiar with Rove's statements in a criminal investigation" are claiming that Rove specifically denied to both Bush and McClellan in 2003 that he was involved in leaking Plame's name.
Now, this may be just more "I did nothing wrong" posturing by Rove and his lawyer....but it could also be a White House establishing a plausible deniability to involvement in, and knowledge of crimes that might appear in indictments next week. ("We are shocked, shocked! that Karl Rove would do this...and we certainly didn't know about it!")
What's your take?
