Laying in bed this morning after staying up late coding, and I noticed a common thread in all the major news outlets this morning.
- All of them treated the looting as a sepparate story from the flooding.
- All of them showed footage of it.
- none of them linked the fact that these people are isolated, stranded, and probably very hungry.
I get the local paper this morning. Same thing.
My questions is...if we are so into reality TV like we say we are, where is the empathy?
People are hungry, people are isolated, and people are surviving by whatever means necessary.
