I have greatly enjoyed watching your interview; thank you for producing it. I felt that Juan Cole addressed us credibly, and I believed nearly all that he said.
However, I was shocked and filled with joy and excitement when I watched the fifth segment Iran's involvement in Iraq. You know, 50 seconds in the fifth segment, when Juan Cole's behaviour, tics and vocal delivery suddenly morph into something... different. Come on, right now, watch the first two minutes of the fifth clip to see that beauty ! I was so proud when I watched it.
Professor Cole has impressed me by his language magic. The Professor simply mumbles a word or two while using a pleasant and exotic form of language. His tics and his delivery change a little bit, perhaps giving him off to an acute observer, but it is a thing of beauty: the Good Professor furtively adds disclaimers to his discourse. I mean, read the transcript after watching the segment: the disclaimers are nearly invisible in the text.
Juan Cole manages to make most people forget about the disclaimers. I love it: liberal intellectuals are beginning to understand the powers of persuasion and covert communication. Please, I ask that you hone these skills and spread them wide across our midst, for that strong rethorics will empower our discourse and make us strong.
As liberals, we are be proud of the moral integrity that our leaders and intellectual are showing. Fear the evil values of our Republican and neoconservative rivals: they exploit faith and indoctrinate their followers. Our careful use of language lets us distribute precise information and values, which is good. The neocons and Rove are hardcore propagandist spinners. You and I, as liberals, share a cause that is just. As liberals, we believe in what is right and in what is good.
Praise the honest and devoted Professor Cole, for that he contributes much to our movement. We trust him because he is so good and educated that he knows these middle-eastern things way better than us. Face it: the average well-informed liberal most likely knows seven times less about the Middle East than the good Professor. When the Professor says something, listen: his words are truthful and educated.
Once again, our good Professor Cole, our great Markos Moulitsas, I praise you for your commendable struggle to bring us the finest and the most truthful political information and memes. I sincerely hope that you will be producing more such entertaining interviews. They teach us about how it really is out there in the world. We trust you and we listen casually; your interviews are entertainment that helps us shape our own beliefs.
With great power comes great responsibility. As Individuals, we have faith in the truth. You and I, united as Democratic Liberals, say: "Down with Big Conservative."
We will prevail.
