Kentucky has gone to the GOP and it looks like Mississippi is following.
But Blue State New Jersey has given the Dems control of the state Senate with gains in both houses of the legislature.
Which adds New Jersey to the tiny number of states (even smaller after Arnie in California) where all branches are fully in Democratic control. If we lose Mississippi, that will leave just NJ, Illinois, Maine, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Tennessee, and West Virginia with uncontested Dem control.
In other good Blue State news, Philly's Dem incumbent mayor John Street won handily and New York City soundly rejected Bloomberg's nonpartisan election proposal (along with his other bad charter proposals) and the lefty-union Working Families Party elected their candidate, Letecia James, in a contested City Council race. Undecided is whether the WFP judicial candidates were elected to clean up the Brooklyn mess.
