We just bought a smoker barbecue thing (it has two chambers, one to barbecue directly over, and a side "firebox" one can use for smoking meat in the larger chamber).
I have ribs I want to smoke today, so my question to you is: does anyone have a good dry rub recipe for ribs I should try?
AND: how long do I smoke the ribs? I have read that I should cook them about five or so hours, but am not sure.
The ribs I have are pork loin backribs, three very long sections.
If you have a to die for recipe, or can point me to some online, that would be great.
I love to cook, but this smoker thing is new to me (we are using the barbecue chuncks which burn much hotter and longer than regular fuel, and I am still learning how to deal with that).
Anyhow, any help is appreciated. If all goes well and I get this barbecue/smoker thing to where I know what I am doing, this summer we can have a San Jose Kos get together in my backyard!
And sorry this diary isn't political, but man can not eat by politics alone, and what better place to ask for help then here?
Thanks!
