Let's see what Mr. Kaus has today regarding the Raimondo manufacturing czar flap:
...Even if you assume there's something that can be done, at a reasonable price, to stop manufacturing jobs from moving abroad, isn't an executive who has actually moved jobs abroad the perfect person to understand what it would take to persuade other executives not to do it?...
Well, Mick, NO. Maybe if this administration had even an illusion of credibility regarding the preservation of our country's manufacturing base, then they could present that argument. But, in fact, the consideration of Raimondo for the post of manufacturing czar is just one more example of Bush rewarding a crony at the expense of working people.
You know, Mickey, it's really to bad we went and killed Timothy McVeigh. We could have made him Director of Homeland Security!
Mr. Kaus is quickly rivaling Friedman as The Most Intellectually Irritating op-ed person.
