I'm a big fan of these diaries containg anecdotal evidence that the country is coming around to "our" way of thinking. Let me set the scene- Palm Beach County, Florida- A crowded Panera Bread Co.
I walk in to take my seat and get some work done on the free wireless network available there. As I am sitting down I notice about a dozen senior men sitting around having a discusion. It became immeadeatly clear to me that these men were discussing Iraq and President Bush. Not unsual to overhear these days, but what struck me was the unabashed passion these men showed. In non-hushed tones these men voiced their displeasure with, at first, our policy in Iraq, then the Medicare "D"isaster. Then I heard something that warmed my heart, one of these gentlemen proclaimed loudly "George W. Bush is a LYING, INCOMPETENT, IDIOT!" Nobody objected. I did notice some uncomfterable looks from a couple of people around the room, but if these people were Bush supporters, they didn't speak up to defend him.
I know these diaries are common these days, but I will never tire of hearing these stories, so feel free to use this diary as a thread to post similar accounts.
