This isn't much of a diary at all but I posted this comment in
UrDoinFineOklahoma's diary,
Repubs Are banking on "Intelligent Design" in 2006 and 2008 and I gotta know...why hasn't anyone else asked this or brought this angle up yet?
Fuck (none / 0)
If we're gonna start teaching Intelligent Design in public schools with taxpayer money, then Evolution needs to be taught in private schools.
It's the same thing in reverse. No room to argue. I haven't heard anyone push that angle yet!

Why has no one, no scientists, no Kossacks (from what I've seen) - why has nobody asked this question? I mean - it seems simple enough to me that if a bunch of religious manipulators are going to start pushing for a religious belief to be fused into the public education system using taxpayer dollars, then why can't we insist and fight for the teaching of evolution in private schools using privat school funds?
And on the topic of intelligent design, I couldn't stand to see my son dissecting a frog or studying the ancestry of humans through the ages and having that "God made everything" angle spun onto it.
In regards to Intelligent Design, what's the point of science then when you have the ultimate answer?
