Conventional wisdom says Lieberman cannot be beaten. We are told again and again that he has very high approval ratings in Connecticut.
Here is the latest Survey USA poll. This is not a very reliable poling organization and we need other polls to confirm it. Still it offers some hope that Lieberman can be beaten.

Approve 63 %
Disapprove 31 %
Now look at the party breakdown;
Republicans - 69 % Approve 24% Disapprove
Democrats - 59 % Approve 36 % Disapprove
Independents - 63 % Approve 31 % Disapprove
It turns out Joementum is more popular with republicans than he is with Democrats. Which tells me Joementum can be defeated in the Dem primary.
Remember there is no challenger yet. If we find an attractive challenger and there is an open and public party opposition to him Joe can be beaten. In a primary approval polls don't matter. What matters is who is more motivated to vote. If 36% of disappoving Dems vote in large numbers Joe can be defeated. Hopefully that 36% number will increase if we have a challenger and a loud public debate.
