Quick diary, then back to work. Today the New Hampshire Attorney General, Kelly A. Ayotte, held a press conference from New Hampshire to discuss the anonymous push polls a few weeks back. The substance of the push polls was basically that Romney was a crazy Mormon, and that Mormons are crazy. And did you know that Romney was a Mormon and that Mormons were crazy?
Here's the fun thing. The NH AG has named the push polling outfit, and it's Moore Information.
More after the jump.
So a few things right quick:
First of all, New Hampshire has a law against push polling, so this is a crime, and whomever hired the push polling outfit will have some fun press in the weeks/months to come.
Second of all, the push polling outfit's client list is a who's who of Publican criminals, from Young to Pombo, from Dubya to Musgrave. Heck, even Ron Paul is one of their clients. It's a 100% Publican organization, and there aint no way to spin it otherwise.
Glaring is the fact that there are ZERO democrats on the Moore Information client list.
So what does this mean? It means that either McCain's people called them in to do a hit job, or, even more delicious, in classic Rovian form, Romney's people did it to themselves. Either way, this will earn them a severe scolding from their people, if not for any other reason than in being so sloppy and getting caught.
Add this debacle, and the portent of criminality, to the phone jamming Sununu crapulescence of 2002, and New Hampshire might lose its remaining 15% Publicans.
What does this mean for the good guys? Well, it wont effect the NH primary, since Moore Information is fighting the subpoena and we wont know who paid for the political hit job until after the primary ends. However, with Mittster and McSurge as the 2 most viable Publican candidates, it will be nice to have this story around this summer as the general heats up.
It will also help Shaheen kick Sununu's corrupt and Bushite touche to the curb, and we need that seat desperately.
Fun stuff :)
