Next Tuesday, Michigan holds it's "primary" and I do use the word hesitantly, because I feel our choices are limited to say the least. As far as I'm concerned, Michigan Democrats were "sold out by our "leadership" or lack thereof within our state. I want to play a part in the decision making for the Michigan Democratic Committee, but I sure could use the wise advice of all you Kossacks...
Here is a copy of the Michigan primary ballot. Sample Ballot
You can see the choices in the Democratic section leave me with very few options. Should I vote for Hillary? I find her to be very much "in the pocket" of big corporate interests. I can't stand the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton dynasty. I could vote for Dennis - I generally agree with almost all his policy issues, but find him "unelectable". Gravel? - get real. Dodd has "dropped out". We've been told that a write-in for any candidate not on the ballot voids the whole thing. That pretty much leaves out my first choices - Edwards or Obama. If the candidate has voluntarily removed his name, write-ins just won't count.
So, that leaves "uncommitted" - which means I leave it to the members of the Michigan delegation to decide for me. Some of these delegates (who may not even be seated - due to threats from the National Committee) are some of the same people who got the MDC into this mess in the first place. Many are solidly behind Clinton. I could select some loser from the Republican ballot to screw up their results (it really messes with the pollsters heads - doesn't it?) This is such a dilemma for me, so tell me what you think I should do with my one important vote.....I'd appreciate it.
