Just a quick entry before I call it a night...
The 2008 Democratic primary just got very intersting. I'm a Barack supporter, and I'm glad we won in Iowa and came close in New Hampshire.
We've known from the very beginning that this nomination would be a long process, so we've built a nation-wide network of grassroots supporters. The status quo will not let go of power easily, and we must earn this people-powered victory. Barack has inspired us, and we're fired up and ready to go!
Yes, Hillary won New Hampshire. But here in Texas, Barack won. We had the biggest grassroots election night watch parties in Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas. We signed up hard volunteer committments to call early state voters. We're using an online phone banking system that's state of the art. While Hillary's busy attacking Barack, we'll be busy calling voters and telling them why we're passionate about changing this country. We'll win this the old-fashioned way...on the ground.
But don't take my word for it...
Here's a few photos take from our recent meetup at Scholz Garten in Austin. We had over 150 Texans attend, and it was by far the biggest election watch party in town. You'll notice in these pictures that we Texans can drink a healthy amount of beer, but that just goes with the territory.
If this thing comes down to Texas, then we're ready. The Lone Star State is Obama Country!
Any other states out there fired up?
