Earlier this week, Senator John Edwards met with supporters on the campus of Clemson University. Since he attended Clemson during the early years of his college career, and he is well known for his athletic ability during those years, they gave him a jersey as a momento. Oh, how that will clash in Chapel Hill with the sky blue that most likely hangs in his closet.
Senator Edwards was introduced by Ken Campbell, Chairman of the Oconee County Democratic Party. Seneca is in Oconee County and Senator Edwards was born in Seneca, SC. A number of his relatives were at the event too.
The man in the stripped shirt is Mayor Dan K Alexander of Seneca, who has also done an endorsement video for the Senator. Senator Edwards didn't have to remind that group that he was born in South Carolina, that he attended Clemson a couple of years and that he was 'one of them'. The love and admiration showed through and in all of the faces. There were cheers and cheers. Many of these were the college students who had no doubt as to who their candidate would be.
Here is the Clemson video in full length. I also have the full length one from the Columbia Event up. The full-length videos can be found at http://www.onecarolinagirlvideos.com and the YouTube shorter version is at http://www.campaignamerica08.com I will have the shorter Clemson one up later today.
