Yes, you. Unless you've been calling for a WarTax, you're a part of the problem not apart of the solution. Showing progress for a war where the objectives change daily is easy. The CONs are guaranteed a victory. Actually finding people willing to pay for it is the hard part.
Unless you demand a wartax to pay for any Iraq Spending in order to comply with paygo, it'll be easy for CONs to keep saying that the "surge is working". John McCain said this week that it doesn't matter if we have 150,000 troops in Iraq for 100 years as long as they aren't taking casualties. He says that we've been in Korea and Europe for over 50 years and nobody complains. That's because they aren't costing us $200 billion a year, and they are paid for with revenue in the budget. I have yet to hear any DEM politician or pundit respond to John McCain regarding that.
