I am urging Daily Kos readers to suggest a name for a new show on CNN that promises to bury the former shadow of a reputable news organization even deeper in right wing muck. CNN has announced that concurrent with Super Tuesday Primary day Campbell Brown will begin hosting a new show with the assumed current working title of "The Campbell Brown Show". You might remember Ms. Brown, she was the perky, if somewhat conservative dim-bulb on the Today Show last year.
Campbell Brown got passed over as Katy Couric's replacement when that job went to Merdith Vieira. She left to spend more time with her family (and take a job with CNN) which consists of a new baby and her husband, Dan Senor who went from Carlyle Corporation henchman to being assistant to Paul Bremer in the first fiasco days of the Iraq war/occupation to the present occupation as Republican strategist (information mostly from his Wiki page, a mirror image of his White House bio).
Ms. Brown(Senor)'s credentials as conservative date from her comments on the Today show and her gushing reporting of Bush's 2000 run. Just in case she is not Red Meat conservative enough or bright enough to carry the show herself, CNN has promised that her better half on the show will be CNN's new Senior Political Analyst, Gloria Borger, a columnist with US News and World Report and former analyst for CBS, and a repeater on the PBS "Washington Week in Review." Ms. Borger has distinguished herself during the current primary season by such deep analysis on CNN as "the big spending Democrats won't talk about their plans to raise taxes before November's election" and other even pithier and mainly anti-Democratic statements.
So please come up with an appropriate name for the show and send CNN your suggestions with a note letting them know just how excited you are that their downward spiral is nearly complete.
