Lights! Camera! Action! We've got the video of Scott Kleeb's Keynote speech at the Douglas County Democratic Party's Truman Dinner last Friday.
Click here to see the video.
After the dinner, a local elected official asked me if I thought Scott was running for Nebraska Legislature. My response: "Do you give a speech like that and run for the UNICAM! I don't think so."
Here are some highlights:
"We need to build a new majority that will bring people together, bridge old divides and forge a way forward for everyone."
"For too long, we as a country have talked about rights without talking about duties. For too long as a country, we've talked about benefits without talking about burdens. For too long, we as a country have not talked about obligations and sacrifice."
Kleeb's focused on building a new nation wide coalition that will defeat the challenges of our day. But most importantly, at least to me, he talked about sacrifice. He talked about what it will cost to make a better American and to perserve our planet in peril. "For too long..." I really like that.
Should be an interesting couple of weeks my friends, but we might just pull this off!
If you haven't already please step forward and PLEDGE for KLEEB. He needs to know that we will have his back in this race. Our Race.
