This coming Monday, John McCain is expected to be at the Sheraton Hotel in NYC at 52nd Street and 7th Avenue and will be having dinner as an honored guest at the racist, David Duke type, group called Congress Of Racial Equality (Core) Also expected to attend this dinner are notorious racists like Duane the Dog Chapman, a convicted murderer and convicted felon ten times over, and Sean Insanitized Hannity, a hard core racist and perhaps the most well known white supremacist in the country. The group CORE has a well known and well documented history of supporting racism, nazism, and genocidal dictators in Africa.
The group is run by the racist Roy Innis and his racist son Niger Innis. If you look at a picture of the Innis's you will notice that both men are black. I bring this up because the Innis's try to use their skin color to camouflage their hatred for blacks and racism against blacks. But make no mistake about it. They are every bit as racist as David Duke. And as anybody with logical reasoning skills knows, bigotry comes from within.
Roy Innis once said of the fight against apartheid in South Africa that "the so called anti apartheid struggle" has "no honest base" and is "a vicarious romantic adventure."
The same Roy Innis supported Lyndon Larouche's Holocaust denying diatribes. Innis also strongly supported Uganda's Idi Amin, one of the history's worst dictators and a man who repeatedly praised Hitler.
Back in the 1980s, a young black man was savagely beaten by a bunch of young white bigots here in Queens in a place called Howard Beach solely because he was black. So what did Roy Innis do?
He, along with radio talk-shit host Bob Grant, started the Howard Beach Legal Defense Fund in the 80's to assist the white youths who chased a black man into the street to his death in a racial attack. Grant was also invited to take part in CORE's King day Celebration in January of 1998, and many African-Americans objected, noting Grant's constant attacks and degradation of King.
Bob Grant is Hannity's good buddy, a long time radio talk show host in the NY area, and an overt racist who has called for sterilizing African Americans and hanging them from trees. Grant has also been a featured guest at CORE'S annual MLK dinner notwithstanding Grant's overt racism and Grant having once called Martin Luther King Jr. a scumbag.
CORE and Roy Innis have also hosted other known Hitler supporters at its annual MLK dinner. Innis invited Jorge Haider of Austria, a known Nazi, as its honored and featured guest. After taking heat for the controversy, Innis claimed he had no idea who Haider was which of course was a lie.
Jesse Lee Peterson, another racist against African Americans who also happens to be African American, is a frequent guest of Hannity and a supporter aligned with CORE. Peterson the racist has said the following:
All Americans must tell blacks this truth. It was blacks' moral poverty – not their material poverty – that cost them dearly in New Orleans.
and
Now I have to disagree with me. I gave blacks too much credit. It took a mere three days for blacks to turn the Superdome and the convention center into ghettos, rampant with theft, rape and murder.
and
if whites were to just leave the United States and let blacks run the country, they would turn America into a ghetto within 10 years.
So John McCain, notwithstanding this long history, is going to allow himself to have dinner as a featured guest with this viral, racist, Nazi group CORE on Martin Luther King Jr. day. Roy Innis is Farrakhan times five. Will the media call McCain out on it? Will the media write hundreds of stories about McCain's ties to this racist and nazi group?
John McCain is well aware or should be well aware of CORE's history and its nefarious associations. However, to give Senator McCain the benefit of the doubt, he should be given the opportunity to cancel his dinner engagement on Monday and given the opportunity to offer a clear denunciation of CORE and its racist and neo nazi history and connections. Nevertheless, if McCain attends that CORE dinner Monday, then McCain has a lot of explaining to do. Will the media do its job on this one or not? We shall see.
