A lot of history has been made so far in this election. But by far the most unexpected has been Democrats outdrawing Republicans in one of the most hard core red states in all of America, and Obama counts for well over half of that.
And this has been made possible first and foremost by street level liberal campaigners who deserve a huge round of applause from my fellow Kossacks.
But if one single person deserves credit for putting the most red of red states into play, its Barack Obama. Obama led the charge, out-drawing the top two Republicans combined. He outdrew the entire 2004 Dem primary all by himself.
I do not want to win with 43%, as Bill Clinton did, a superior candidate to Hillary. I want the 60% that Obama offers if we have the courage to work for it and to fight for it.
It is darkly ironic that the only ones who can stop the Democratic Revolution in 2008 are the Clintons. As a New Yorker who would be happy to keep Hillary as his Senator, I beg my fellow liberals to get behind Obama to bury the Republicans. A super-majority is ours for the taking. No Supreme Court Justices blocked, no filibusters over torture.
We have the opportunity for a bizarro-Reagan Revolution. For the love of all things liberal, we need to unite behind this unique chance to alter the course of American history. A mandate is there for our taking.
